47 | Buddy Holly and the Day the Music Died | How Stars Are Named, Gematria

Was Buddy Holly's death an accident?  Mason City crash sites are always extra curious...
Buddy Holly was born Charles Hardin Holley, with an 'e'.  I'll show you why they changed the spelling for his rock and roll singing name; it's all Gematria.  Keep in mind, these owners of musicians and actors and athletes prefer their stats to have names that sum to numbers such as 33, 47 and 74.  Let's see how 'Buddy Holly' fits in.

  • Buddy = 2+3+4+4+7 = 20
  • Holly = 8+6+3+3+7 = 27
  • Buddy Holly = 20+27 = 47

The name Buddy Holley, with an 'e', would equate to 52.  Buddy Holly was born on September 7, 1936 and would die in a plane crash on February 3, 1959, 55 years ago this past February 3, the 34th day of the year.  In other words, Buddy Holly's last day on this earth, was February 2, Ground Hog's day, also known as the "33rd day of the year".

Recording artist Don McClean would give a name for the date that would go down in infamy, "The Day The Music Died".

  • Don = 4+15+14 = 33
  • McLean = 4+3+3+5+1+5 = 21, reduces to 3

Musicians Richie Valens and the Big Bopper would also die in the wreck.  The site of the wreck was in Iowa, on the 43rd Parallel North, by the 93rd Parallel West.  The plane departed from Mason City Municipal Airport- emphasis on "mason".

  • Masonry = 4+1+1+6+5+9+7 = 33
