31 33 | Lions Defeat Falcons in Wembley Stadium (Tribute to the Lions 2014-15 Super Bowl Appearance?)

At the conclusion of Sunday's NFL Week 3 Games, I stated I expect a Lions vs Colts Super Bowl, despite the Colts having a 1-2 record at the time.  Since that date, their have been many tributes to the Colts such as their 20-13 win over Baltimore and their 33-point win over the Texans on a Thursday Night with a date numerology of 33.  That said, their "earliest morning start in the history of the NFL" at Wembley Stadium is the first potential tribute I've seen to what may be ahead for the Lions.  In addition to this potential tribute of "33" and a coming gift wrapped Super Bowl, the Lions were the only team with 33:1 odds to win the Super Bowl prior to the season beginning; also,  it has been 33-years since they hosted the Super Bowl in their hometown Detroit, MI.
  • Wembley = 5+5+4+2+3+5+7 = 31
  • Stadium = 10+2+1+4+9+3+4 = 33
The highest point of Wembley Stadium is 133 meters and the stadium features 166 executive suits.  It opened March 9, 2007; emphasis on the 3/9... 39.

With regards to the Falcons who lost in this game, they're located on the 33rd Parallel North and their city is abbreviated ATL.  They also lost to the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl 33, which was played 1/31/1999.
  • ATL = 1+20+12 = 33
  • 1/31/1999 = 1+3+1+1+9+9+9 = 33
The Lions won today by score of 22-21, with a last second field goal by Matt Prater, born August 10, 1984.
  • Matt = 4+1+2+2 = 9
  • Prater = 7+9+1+2+5+9 = 33
  • Matt Prater = 9+33 = 42
  • 8/10/1984 = 8+1+0+1+9+8+4 = 31
  • The kids's got numbers... and a leg.

  1. I just watched the recap on this game. I wouldn't be surprised if the officiating purposely gave them a second try so the Lions at least had another chance to win. They need to make sure the Lions make it to the playoffs if this is indeed rigged up.
