46 54 57 141 | MLB Standings August 31, 2016 (54-days until 112th World Series, October 25, 2016) (Cubs vs Astros/Rangers)

After the conclusion of the August 31, 2016 MLB games, we are left with 54-days from September 1 up until October 25, 2016 when the 112th World Series begins.

Below are the standings as of the conclusion of the games after the evening of August 31, 2016.

http://www.espn.com/mlb/standings

Notice the Mets are the hottest team in the NL right now winning 8 of their last 2.

Two nights earlier, Chicago earned their 46th home win, August 29, 2016, with 57-days left until the start of the World Series, which they're favorites for.

The date of the the 46th home win for Chicago was on a date with a life lesson number of '46'.

8/29/2016 = 8+29+(2+0+1+6) = 46

Recall when Chicago earned the first no hitter of the season, April 21, 2016, the 112th day of the year.  Read about that here:  http://freetofindtruth.blogspot.com/2016/04/112-cubs-jake-arrieta-throws-first-no.html

Also, recall the Cubs and Astros start their Series against one another 46-days before the start of the World Series.  Read about that here:  http://freetofindtruth.blogspot.com/2016/08/13-45-99-119-astros-cubs-september-9-11.html

Moving on to the American League.

In the AL, teams in playoff contention that are hot are the Tigers and Astros, who have each won 8 of their last 2, a League best.

I notice right away the Houston Astros have 71-wins.  That is interesting because the World Series begins on a date with '71' numerology, October 25, 2016, and it being the '112th' World Series, connects to 'Houston'.  Also, the Astros are 54-years old this year.  Also, the Astros are in their 55th season, and they won their 71st game 55-days before the start of the World Series.

10/25/2016 = 10+25+20+16 = 71

Notice that Game 7 of the 112th World Series is scheduled for November 2, 2016, or 11/2.  Last year, the 111th World Series, the last game was played on November 1, Game 5.

Let us not forget that 'Houston' and 'Colt' connection.

Remember, Houston is hosting Super Bowl 51, February 5, 2017.

Last year...

It was 'New York' that lost in the 111th World Series.

Moving on...

Another standout win tonight, are the Texas Rangers over the Seattle Mariners, 14-1, where the Rangers pitching staff had exactly 141-pitches.  Remember, the manager of the Rangers is from Houston.

Also comical, the final win on this evening came when the Yankees defeated the Royals in Kansas City, 5-4, in the 13th inning (If you sum 1-13, it totals 91, kind of like 9/1, for September 1).  Also, it reminds that earlier this year, the Astros earned their first win of the season in their opening game against the Yankees, April 5, 2016, or 5/4.

I love that the Royals had 216-pitches on the night.

  1. Houston has been doing a lot better, past Seattle and climbing for that wild card spot! They won tonight in the 8th down 3-1. It all started with a strike out wild pitch, with one scoring.

  2. Dodgers came back and won in the 9th down 5-8, with a run and grand slam, final 10-8.

  3. Do not be fooled. This is the Texas Rangers WS to lose. They didnt' stack this team for no reason at the break. Flying way under the radar for the talent they have. Their staff in October is gonna be nasty with Hamels and Darvish and a healthy holland and Lewis

    1. great observation. Cubs are on a major hot streak as well and will be the trap bet for bettors like GS

  5. Rumors on Dodgers trading for greinke. Anyone care to do work on this? Dodgers have a lot of narratives going on for them. As I can see Cubs and Rangers WS bound, something tells me that these heavy favorites might not make it. Baseball is one of them sports where you see a not so heavy favorite come out and win. Unlike the NBA and NFL.

    1. Kershaw likely back. also, the Chubs set the wins record in 1906 before losing the WS to the White Sox, by the numbers. of course they won he next two so, ya know.

    2. The Cubs are in as a betting trap and to break chicagos heart once more. Then theyll win next yr. Its in the books. Teams with 80+ wins in first 125 games are 7-27 in the WS! Espn stat from last week

    1. They wont let Cubs face an inferior opponent like Astros and win it all. Too much money on the line for Vegas. They wont be paying 3-1 on cubs right now when they are by far the best team in the league. Astros are Texas's little brother. The script is for the Texas and the 5 law enforcement shot dead

    2. You keep saying this but all sports are littered with inferior opponents beating better teams. Thats why sports are interesting.

I Know nothing about baseball but i do have a good understanding of the numbers that are around sports. Dont get caught up in all these "plot lines" its guess work at best.

    5. and btw, sports upsets in TITLE GAMES are never inferior opponents upsetting, both teams made it for a reason. Its public perception. Zach is mad because I steal the spotlight away from him. Hes a very sensitive control freak ha! This is my last time giving advice here. Zach you need to learn to accept people can have differing opinions and move on. Grow up little man.

Anyway it takes players and talent to make a championship game and the astros dont have the pitching or the exp. peace

    6. Haha you forget ive been on this blog a while too, i remember you calling me an idiot when i told you GSW would still beat OKC at 3-1 down and again in the final when you called cleveland dead.

    7. Yes, Mike Manning is just a troll who spreads lies and misinformation and has no shame in doing it. If we took the time to go through all of his claims, his record would look very sad. Notice he never contributes any real knowledge, just spews his opinion with no factual evidence.

  11. Anyone like blue jays?

Blue Jay’s last won the world series in 1993 on 10/23.

From that date to game 7 of this year’s world series is…

    23 years, 10 days
    (231)

I just realized that the Blue Jays might have a “112” connection….

    112th prime number is “613”…..

    A Canadian area code….

    Ottawa
    Area Code 613 Prefixes
    Prefix Primary City Company
    (613) 230- Ottawa, ON Bell Canada
    (613) 231- Ottawa, ON Bell Canada
    (613) 232- Ottawa, ON Bell Canada
    (613) 233-

    those are some nice prefixes…

    notice that “231” prefix….

    1321 (the 216th prime) also…

Toronto Blue Jays Vs Chicago Cubs = 344
Hundred Twelve World Series = 3404

Cubs Vs Blue Jays = 1086

Hundred Twelfth World Series = 1890

    1109 (the 186th prime)

    Gene wilder birthday is 6/11
and died from “alzheimers” = 116

    Gene’s wife died in “89”

Her first marriage was in “1980”

Blue Jays won the division in “89”

Their stadium was built in “89”

Cubs Vs Blue Jays World Series = 1968

    Gene wilder died
11 weeks and 2 days after his birthday (112)

    it’s the “112th” world series…

Gene died “79” days after his bday…

    Thirty Nine = 791

Blue jays last won their division in their “39th” season

    Three Nine = 98

How far you guys think the blue jays will go? I haven't really been keeping up with baseball at all this year.

  12. I think Cubs/Astros Just to confuse people like always. If you ask any baseball followers who is winning the series they will say Cubs right of the bat, and at the end the "weakest team" win which is supposedly the Astros.

    2. Yeah Astros can't beat the cubs just like Broncos couldn't beat the Panthers and the same way Cavaliers couldn't beat Golden State in our minds look imposible that's why a lot of people always go drop that money on the "Super Perfect Team" but unfortunately that will be to easy for people to make money remember mike this is a business every body cannot get pay.
