ESPN Divisional Round Preview:

*Not updated is that New Orleans beat Carolina 31-26, and will play Minnesota, #4 vs #2, reminding of the Super Bowl date in Minnesota, 4/2, February 4.

AFC:

#5 @ #1, TEN @ NE

Doesn't this remind you of Super Bowl 51, which NE won last year?

#3 @ #2, JAC @ PIT

NFL = 32; 83, the 23rd prime; Football = 83
Consider Jaguars won 10-3 in Wild Card; Steelers = 103

NFC:

#6 @ #1, ATL @ PHI

Philadelphia = 61; Church = 61; 61, the 18th prime
Atlana Falcons = 239; Flag sewn at 239 Arch St. in Philly

#4 @ #2, NO @ MIN

Anderson brothers riddle, '98 NFL season...

Now the team histories:

Titans @ Patriots

Patriots lead the Titans 23-15-1 in regular season, and are tied in playoffs, 1-1.

That means this will be the 42nd game between the two teams, and the Patriots can win their 25th game all-time, or 2nd playoff game.  Two = 58 (Patriots in 58th season)

With a Titans loss, they would be 1-2 against Patriots.  Tom = 12 (#12)

The game comes 163-days after Tom's 40th birthday, August 3, 2017.

163, 38th prime; Minnesota = 38; US Bank Stadium = 38
26-letters...

Patriots can get 33rd playoff win; Tom = 33
They'd beat the team formerly from Houston, after winning the SB in Houston last year

The Titans could get their 16th win.  Sixteen = 33; Tom = 33

Jaguars @ Steelers

Jaguars lead the Steelers 12-11 in regular season, and 1-0 in the playoffs.

This will be the 25th game all-time.

*I need to dig harder on this.  I don't see a narrative in records yet.
***If Steelers got win #12, and Patriots won, they would face Tom Brady, #12..

Falcons @ Eagles

Eagles lead the Falcons 16-13-1 in the regular season, and 2-1 in the playoffs.  If the Eagles win, they'll get their 19th win all-time against the Falcons.

Flag = 19; Nick = 19
Atlanta Falcons = 239; Flag sewn at 239 Arch St.

Eagles have 19 playoff wins all-time...

Saints @ Vikings

Vikings lead the Saints 19-10 in the regular season, and 2-1 in the playoffs.  That means this will be the 33rd game between the two teams all-time.  Funny Drew Brees had 33 passing attempts on his way to Minnesota...

This is another tough one.  I don't see a narrative in the records.

DATES:

1/13/2018 = 1+13+20+18 = 52 *Remember the winners of the January 13 games

1/13/2018 = 1+13+(2+0+1+8) = 25
1/13/2018 = 1+1+3+(20+18) = 43
1/13/2018 = 1+1+3+2+0+1+8 = 16
1/13/18 = 1+13+18 = 32
1/13 = 1+13 = 14

On January 13, it is TEN @ NE and ATL @ PHI

1/14/2018 = 1+14+20+18 = 53
1/14/2018 = 1+14+(2+0+1+8) = 26
1/14/2018 = 1+1+4+(20+18) = 44
1/14/2018 = 1+1+4+2+0+1+8 = 17
1/14/18 = 1+14+18 = 33
1/14 = 1+14 = 15

On January 14, it is JAC @ PIT and NO @ MIN

ALSO, the QBs...

Tom Brady will play his 35th playoff game.  The Super Bowl is on the 35th day

Tom Brady = 35

Tom Brady can earn his 26th playoff win.  He advanced to the playoffs with 26-points in WK 17.

The AFC can wins its 26th Super Bowl.

Big Ben will play in his 21st playoff game.
He is looking for his 14th win on the 14th.
*Jaguars could also get 14th win against Steelers...

The game comes 14-weeks after thier October 8, 2017 match up...
They last played in the playoffs Janaury 5, 2008, or 1/5/08 = 1+5+08 = 14

Drew Brees will play in his 13th playoff game.

Matt Ryan will play in his 10th playoff game.

This will be Bortles 2nd playoff game.
Bortles is trying to earn his 23rd win in the Jaguars 23rd season.

This will be Marcus Mariota's 2nd playoff game.
Notice he has played 43.  Titans = 43 (Won last game with combined 43-points)

This will be Nick Foles 2nd playoff game.
It will be his 41st game all-time.  Nick = 19; Nineteen = 41
*He could pick up his 19th loss.
*Eagles have 19 all-time playoff losses.

This will be Case Keenum's 1st playoff game.
He has 38 regular season games under his belt.  Minnesota = 38; US Bank Stadium = 38

If he lost, it would be his 19th career loss.  Saints = 19

***It's interesting that the two home quarterbacks, who are facing veterans, could pick up their 19th career losses in the NFC.

The Steelers play the Jags 98-days after the October 8, 2017 game where the Jags won in Pittsburgh, 30-9.  Big Ben = 39

This is an interesting note if the Steelers get beat at home.

Dan Rooney died April 13, or 13/4.
